In Person sessions:
In person sessions are available at Southport on a Monday and Tuesday and at Varsity Lakes on a Friday.

Telehealth:
I have been providing phone counselling since 2007 and Telehealth counselling sessions are available Monday to Friday.
The idea of online or phone sessions can feel daunting or unappealing, but research has shown that psychology sessions via Telehealth are just as effective as in person sessions.
Telehealth services have unique benefits that are not available when attending in person such as:
-
Increased access to services for people who have busy schedules, live remotely, or struggle to find appointments with psychologists in their local area.
-
Greater flexibility and convenience, no travel time, and ease of doing a session when at the office or at home. I encourage clients to, when appropriate, go for a walk while doing a session. The benefits of a "walk and talk" session have been recorded widely.
Areas of Interest
I am registered with the medical board of Australia, Australia Health Practitioners Regulation Authority (AHPRA). I completed a masters level education in psychology and hold a graduate degree and two post graduate degrees in psychology.

grief and loss,
attachment and childhood insecurities,
personal development, self-esteem,
relationship challenges, separation, divorce,
confidence, assertiveness, personal agency,
parental guidance,
adjustment to change,
ptsd, trauma,
emotion regulation, anger management,
depression, loneliness,
work related challenges, bullying, harassment, interpersonal conflict

Each session is tailored to meet your specific needs, ensuring a personalized approach to your mental health journey.
My Approach
I am dedicated to providing an affable, compassionate, and client-centered approach to therapy. I believe in creating a safe and non-judgmental space for you to share your story, explore your emotions, challenge yourself at times, and work towards achieving your mental health goals.

My approach is eclectic and individually tailored, meaning I will apply the approach best suited to you and your unique personality and needs. I am experienced and well trained, which allows me to comfortably dip into different theoretical frameworks and therapies, when needed, to best support you.

I am trained and experienced in multiple evidence-based therapeutic approaches and modalities such as Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Neuropsychology, Schematherapy, Interpersonal Therapy, Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Positive Psychology, Rational-Emotive Therapy (RET), Trauma Focused Therapy, Somatic Therapy, Psychodynamic Therapy, Psycho-Neuro-Immunology (PNI).

My focus is on supporting you throughout your journey to emotional well-being and personal growth, not to promote a specific therapeutic framework, or train you to become an expert in a specific area of psychology.

Multiple research studies have shown the success of therapy relies more on the therapeutic alliance between therapist and client than the specific therapeutic modality utilized.
